labeled as "the most beautiful city he's ever seen." So this should be
pretty good. We get there this afternoon and have two nights there. I
have been informed by the outside world that the US backed themselves
into the confedrations cup by beating Egypt 3-0 and Italy losing 3-0
to Brazil. Absolutely ridiculous, it was almost impossible for that to
happen. Apparently, Egypt had a shot in the 90th (last) minute that
would have put them through on goal differential. Anyway, the point of
all that futbol jargon is that in the semifinal USA plays SPAIN
tomorrow night while we're in valencia. This is our best opportunity
yet to find a great Spanish pub while we likely see our team get
destroyed by the best team in the tournament. We will have to pretend
we are British or Canadian or something so they don't hand us tissues

Miracles do happen. I'm sure it was very exciting to see USA beat the Spanards in a Spanish bar!
