Lots of catching up!

Last night in Madrid:

Last night (seems so long ago!) we finally had a Spanish dinner at
Spanish dinnertime. We sat down at our table at about 10:45 after
looking at about a million restaurant options. We had a nice selection
of Iberian ham, bull's tail, rice, and very good sangria. We finished
up dinner at around 12:45 and then headed back to the hotel. We had a
short night, as we left the hotel at 5:30am to go to the airport.

Paris

Eileen, Betty, Steve, Angela, and I all made it on time, and we made
the plane. We got some sleep on the plane which was great as well.
When we landed in Paris, I was very surprised that we didn't have to
go through customs, I guess that's one of the benefits of the EU. We
got our bags and took a very expensive cab ride into the city, and got
to our hotel on Le Rue de Champs Elysées. Our rooms weren't ready yet,
so we stored our bags and took a walk to L'Arc de Triomphe. It was
cool to see the monument which overlooks one of the most famous
streets in the world, the Champs Elysées. At the other end of the
Champs Elysées is Le Musée de Louvre, which houses the Mona Lisa
among many other world famous works of art. We plan on seeing Le
Louvre on Monday. TOMORROW we are going to see La Tour Eiffel (Eiffel
Tower) in the morning, then taking a lunch cruise down la seine river
to see many famous parisian places. After that, we plan to see La
Cathedral de Notre Dame as well.

Well, sorry for the long email, and when we have to share so much
stuff we did, sometimes there is sub par narration, but Internet is
expensive and hard to come by so we are doing our best! We hope that
everything is going well back home, and please know that we love you
all very much. I personally can't wait to share of all the pictures
I've taken (about 200 so far, many more to come!) so that yall can see
all the beautiful things we've seen! Thanks for reading and being a
part of our trip!
