Have you ever had lunch on a train?

We did! And well, it was a little different than our Continental
sandwiches and snacks. It included bread (pan) cut fruit (fruta
cortada) mousse de jamón (a fancy Spanish way to say spam) and some
fish thing with carrots and potatoes. Needless to say we ate just the
bread. Maybe some nibbles of the fruit or potatoes but that was it.
They did serve us with plenty of silverware and condiments including
miniature pepper and salt shakers which I took as souvenirs. See
picture below. We will be making a trip to the back of the train for
hot ham and cheese toasties. The service is great so I feel bad for
not liking the food so much. Oh well, maybe they don't like our food
when they come to the states.

Anyone have any souvenir requests? If not you might just end up
getting a travel sized pepper or salt shaker. As Uncle Mike says, "we
are in an economic crisis" so there is no need for wasteful spending,
unless you want something of course.
